Let me start from the top. I've always felt a calling. I've always known there was a higher purpose for me. I've always felt there was more to life than what I was currently experiencing.

I want to know more. I want to experience more. I want a change.

The Quest Begins

A number of years ago, I started consuming everything I could find in my path. I consumed enormous volumes of material concerning self help, meditation, healing, philosophy, religion, yoga, etc. I read books telling me about "the secret", meditation techniques, postures, and matras. I listened to sound bytes that promised to enhance my brain. I downloaded MP3s to guide me into awareness. I went to meditation retreats and listened to gurus talk about a higher state of enlightenment.

I knew there was some truth in all of the above. But how to understand and listen to the right message. The right technique that would give me results.

There is a tremendous wealth of knowledge to be gained from religion. I had an open mind and the drive to learn. I read about religions, esoteric, sects, cults, mysteries, metaphysical, etc. I went to gathering after gathering. I traveled, chanted, meditated, fasted, and engaged in avid discussions about the nature of existence with incredibly knowledgeable people.

The vocabulary used to explain things was highly intellectual. Also, I had to learn new words in different languages just to keep up. Some of those languages aren't even spoken today! Nevertheless, I learned various methods of concentration, restrictions, and discipline. I came away with a lot of knowledge from discourses, texts, and direct experience.

New Age, Binaural MP3s, and Meet Ups

I love to read! Again, I read book after book on subjects such as self-help, intention, manifestation, metaphysical, hidden powers, etc. Spent hours reading on the train on my commute to work, waiting rooms, coffee shops, and self imposed stay-at-home weekends.

I downloaded binaural MP3s. Listened to them while meditating. They sounded strange and unnatural to me. I gave them a fair chance even though the sounds were just too computer generated and seemed synthetic.

I attended various meet ups in my area and spoke to people from all walks of life. Some meet ups were hosted by experts in a certain field. You might remember me at some of those meet ups, I was the guy asking questions that didn't seem to have answers!

The Healing Begins

Having come full circle in my quest, I decided to take some time off. I had already lost some of my friends and even a relationship due to my pursuit. Some meditation retreats require oneself to spend days on end without much or any contact. I had fully engaged on my quest and left the people I loved behind in the process. This did not seem like a wholesome balanced way to lead my life.

Something Amazing Happened

Everything I've ever learned came into focus as I sat quietly pressing the keys on a piano. I was meditating but my hands were alive just enough to gently touch a few notes here and there. Unexpectedly, a pattern of notes, space, and silence emerged and led me down a path I hadn't explored before.

I'm healing through music.

At first I thought, it must be the sound of the piano. Well, I remembered the healing notes I played on the piano that day and tried the same pattern on flutes from around the world I've picked up on my travels. The effect of the same pattern of notes on the flutes blew my mind.

I learned much later that there's a science behind this phenomena. That vibrations are associated with our emotional states, mind, and body. It makes sense since thoughts, words, and actions also vibrate and resonate to and from people, animals, and things around us. The notes are already built-in us and are actually inside of us! This is why chanting, music, dance, positive thinking, and prayer are also effective.

Meditation, Healing, and a better Life

As I meditated, more patterns emerged. Universal consciousness and unity, intuition, spiritual thoughts, compassion and unconditional love, health and power, bliss and unbounded joy, and sensuality.

I feel blissful and balanced. I've made new friendships and feel at peace in thoughts and actions. My life is lining up and manifesting a balance I had not experienced before.

I'm healing through music.

I'm now sharing the patterns of healing notes I've discovered with friends and family. Introducing them to this "background" music. Some of my friends haven't even meditated before and now they are reaping the benefits of a peaceful, clear, and well rested mind. My mom previously led a very stressful life as a workaholic and insomniac. Today she tells me she sleeps better and her work has improved just "because", almost magically and because of her new found tranquility.

We are healing through music.
